| This tiny DC motor (only 7mm dia!) has a small offset weight on the drive shaft & is designed for pocket pagers & similar where "silent calling" is required. When powered from 1V dc @ 55mA and mounted in soft rubber, sufficient vibration is created to alert the user without disturbing the surroundings such as conferences, theatres, etc! For a greater degree of vibration it could be run intermittantly up to 2V with consumption exceeding 120mA. The motor body is plated steel & only 16.5mm long x 7mm dia. Including the rotating 'weight' the dimensions are still only 22 x 7mm. The drive shaft without the easily removeable weight is 3mm long x 1mm dia. Connections are via 2 x 1.5mm long solder tags on the rear face which have 30mm long wires soldered on, terminated with a 2 way IDC socket, 2mm pin centres. | |
