| A complete PC on a card !! Exceptionally small size 486DX4 100 MHz single board computer part # Acquire SSC-5x86HVGA. Crammed onto this half length ISA card is: 100MHz AMD 486DX-4 fan cooled CPU. DIL Socket for optional solid state flash RAM based Disk On Chip. 2 x 72 pin SIMM slots containing one 16 Mbyte SIMM. Standard Award plug and play aware BIOS with power control features. Standard battery backed up real time clock. Piezo speaker. Standard video 15 pin D socket from Cirrus GD54M30 PCI VGA Controller with 1MB video RAM. 2 x panel mounted 9 pin D 16550 serial ports. Multi mode EPP/ECP printer port brought out via flying lead to panel mounted 25 way D socket. Separate PS2 mini DIN keyboard and mouse sockets. Standard floppy port. Standard EIDE port for connecting one or two hard drives. Adjustable watchdog timer for operating reset or NMI. The optional 8 MByte solid state disk is possibly the most useful feature of this board. Since this contains its own BIOS, no special software or drivers at all are needed to use it. It can be Fdisk'ed, Formatted & booted as easily as any other hard drive. It's even possible to install, fit and run Windows 3.1 on it. Since there are no moving parts, it's completely silent & should never wear out or crash. The board can be strapped so that it can run on a single 5V supply for use without any motherboard.
