| Designed and manufactured to the highest specification by BBC Engineering, the peak programme level meter consists of a selected Ernest Turner, 72 x 58mm analogue meter with a small printed circuit board containing the electronics. The unit also has a festoon lamp arrangement for integral illumination in darkened studios etc. Unit may be panel fixed or used stand alone. The static and dynamic characteristics are similar to those laid down in BS4297:1968. The fallback characteristic is of a linear nature. Static performance: balanced floating input, 20kohm nominal with strappable sensitivity of 0dB, -20dB or -42dB. 4dB increments between scale marks from 1 to 7 with <0.5dB error. Frequency response 40Hz-20Hz. Dynamic performance: The rate of fallback is 8.7dB/S & the time for the pointer to fall from 7 to 1 on the scale is between 2.5 & 3 seconds. Supplied fully tested with full specification. Operates from 24VDC. | |
